While monitoring Governing’s Twitter account today, I found that Newark Mayor Cory Booker created a rebuttal to a joke Conan O’Brien made last week. I don’t know of many mayors who make social media a part of their daily lives (not a part of their aides’ daily lives, mind you.) Gavin Newsom is probably the only other mayor I know of that really uses Twitter, YouTube, et al.
I shared this around the office today, so it received a blog post. A couple of Governing followers said it was funny and walked the thin line of being serious and being silly. Watch the video here. I think it has potential to go viral.
