Today was a big day: Governing’s new online look was revealed to an audience at large. (Well, the new look was up late Friday afternoon. But I imagine most of the audience saw the new look this morning.)
Two Web people took the reins in creating the look and feel of the site, and the functionality will only get better as time goes on. Take a look around and check it out.
This redesign, plus looking at journalists’ sites on 10,000 Words is making me want to redesign this site—something more … colorful? I keep thinking of color palettes that would look cool and reflect me. I keep think to something like orange and white, or purple and white, or red and white, and I couldn’t figure out why. I realized that these colors are somewhat emblematic of important points in my life: purple is the color of the old alma mater, orange is Pre-K Now’s color (my first job), and red … well, I have a red coat. (Yeah, I faultered completely with my initial logic.)
I can’t promise that I’ll actually get around to redesigning this site anytime soon, but it’s on my mind.
